The co-creator of Call of Duty, the mind behind the wildly popular first-person shooter Call of Duty, has died in a car accident in the state of California he was 55 years old.

The tragic news was confirmed by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, a game studio he co-founded.

The celebrated industry figure passed away following his vehicle was involved in a crash and was engulfed in flames on a freeway in Los Angeles on Sunday, as reported by.
