Your Perfect Pocket Monster Legends: Z-A Super Form Based on the Zodiac Sign

This return of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited widespread excitement within the fandom. From the gradual reveal of newcomers ahead of the game's release, to players forming strong views on the entire roster of new Megas, there's a lot for fans to look forward to.

Given many of the Mega Evolutions boasting unique designs that emphasize their traits, one thought naturally: What's the best way to connect this with zodiac signs? The following is inspired by a mix of vibes, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.

Aries – Mega Camerupt

Honestly, Houndour's evolution was almost selected for Aries, as they are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the most fear. However, a Mega Houndoom appears as constantly angry, which isn't typical of the Ram's energy, renowned for being fun, light-hearted, and spontaneous. This makes Aries far more akin to Mega Camerupt, which solely spews lava when angered. Remain on the good side of both and enjoy a powerful partner; should you offend them, be ready to get burned.

Taurus – Mega Heracross

Much like a devoted Taurus, the steadfast Heracross species, whether in its standard and Mega form, has assisted numerous trainers in Legends: Z-A. While dependable, both the creature and a Taurus are also battle-oriented, and – be it their companion or a strong opinion – will stand up for their position unwaveringly. What about Mega Heracross that recalls most of my Taurus friends, though, is its unabashed love of snacks. Several past official descriptions note their fondness for tasty sap and how it employs its horn to collect it all, which is pure Taurus energy.

Gemini – Mega Medicham

Look at this absolute queen. You cannot convince me this Pokémon is not the soul of any gathering, offering an endless fountain of chatter to those who wish to listen. Just like an enrapturing, sociable Gemini, it's very simple to imagine Mega Medicham captivating an entire open area with their tales. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also states its capacity to foresee an enemy’s next moves, which sounds very like a socially-savvy Gemini.

The Crab – Mega Manectric

Cancer is commonly considered as the most emotional member of the zodiac, a intense symbol famous for frequently becoming absorbed in their feelings. According to the official info, Mega Evolution charges the creature with a “huge amount of electricity, but it's too much for Manectric to completely manage,” which seems a lot like a typical Crab emotional outburst. It is also recognized for its capability to create a storm cloud over its very head – and if there’s a single trait a Crab is going to do, it’s rain on their own parade.

The Lion – Super Starmie

Well, did you think I was planning to pick the lion Pokémon for the lion of the stars? Aside from the fact that it would be much too on the nose, Leo is obviously Mega Starmie, the star whose gams just went viral for being extremely fabulous (or horrifying, depending on your preference). Fans were captivated from the purple starfish, and that’s exactly the identical energy a Leo brings to the table. This Pokémon is also said to be transmitting signals from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Lion to be putting on a performance, even if for extraterrestrials.

The Maiden – Super Victreebel

The ever-prepared and perpetually-anxious Virgo is ideally encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with constant acid reflux. The zodiac symbol famous for being endearingly critical is clearly reflected throughout this creature's entire lineage, from a perpetually surprised expression like a Virgo when you tell them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its upside-down face that’s similar to the symbol a Maiden sends to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” instead of creating a strategy.

Libra – Super Audino

Look at this sweet, sensitive creature, who uses the feelers on its auditory organs to tell how others are feeling by their pulse. Consistently empathetic – sometimes to a detriment – and striving to keep the peace, there are many Scales who would likely benefit from Mega Audino’s abilities. Though, let’s be honest, it would likely just make them worry more about everyone else.

The Scorpion – Super Banette

Banette is a creature with a surprisingly tragic origin: Discarded as a toy, it gained sentient through pure hatred and swore revenge on its previous caretaker. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That seems precisely like many discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpio friends. A Scorpion adores karma and retribution, making them the ideal match with Mega Banette.

The Archer – Mega Hawlucha

Both Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are constantly staging a show. As a Sagittarius myself, the number of occasions I’ve called myself some version of a “silly little jester” is countless. The showiest and most attention-seeking Super Form, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “poses to show off its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius match I can imagine.

Capricorn – Super Absol

Did you know that a Super Absol has the ability to foresee disasters in advance? That exudes the identical vibe as a Capricorn, who often always believe they’re right. The thing is, much like a visionary Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute initial Super Form that trainers encounter in Legends: Z-A – just like a Goat to get in on the ground floor of the Mega trend.

The Water Bearer – Super Chandelure

Detached air sign Aquarius is arguably the non-fire placement that is closest to a fire sign – its sister sign is Leo, and there are countless jokes about the Archer and Aquarius being unpredictable accomplices. Mega Chandelure’s dual Ghost/Fire typing fits perfectly with this, and the Super Form's overall intimidating presence is also very Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Super Form's Pokédex entry says it “absorbs negative energy and transforms it into power.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
